During the
first Sunday May 20th (day4) we went up to the Karmel mount near Haifa. From there we visit Megido
(Armageddon). On the return we visit the rocks of Rosh HaNiqra on the Libanese
border (OD-land). During the evening we enjoyed a short but good Es opening on
6 meters by working the first West European station PA2M in Jo21ip. FFurther
many stations in SV, EA, F, YO and in I.
Tomorrow
our last day in Nes Ammim KM72nx.
Yesterday (Tuesday) we travelled by eastern route via beth Shean, Jordan valley, Jericho, Jerusalem to Rishon LeZion. After loosing the correct way we found the location of Lisa Farm Place.
Still the antenna's are organized but are disturbing each other.
6 meter is very quit and HF is still not OK. We are planning to use the G5RV antenna.
Also we had a vist from David 4X/PD7DP. We had a nice conversation with him. David is living nearby Jerusalem.
Tomorrow we will visit Jerusalem
Yesterday we did visit de Old City of Jerusalem. Pictures can be seen on page Day Day 8.
For today (Friday May 25th) we did visit several paces of interest at the lowest place of earth the Dead See. Pictures can be seen on page Day 9.
Tomorow we will change the 6 meter Deltaloop. Still there are some problems.
Day 10 on Shabat is the sun hot and Condx again very bad. Sometimes 10 open but propagation on 6 to bad

During the afternoon we went for visit of the old town of Jaffa at Tel Aviv. We enjoyed this beautiful old area with a mixed population.
By return of our holiday house we where active on 6 meters and made some contacts with several stations in Serbia, Greece, Italy and Bulgaria
Day 11 is Sunday May 27th and still the propagation on 6 and HF still no good. The evening before a short opening on 6 and strong signals on 20 from PY7ZZ (Brazil). The morning a QSO with no good signs with PB2JJ and PI4KGL. In the afternoon we went to Hadera to visit friends. Near Hadera Loek and Monique enjoyed their second hobby by Geo-catching and a visit to a Fish restaurant in Jaffa. After returning still no signs on 6 and 10. But 20 was good again. Monday (day 12) we went to the Hut of David Ben Gurion and Wadi Ein Avdat and the memorial sit of Ben Gurin and his wife Paula in Sde Boker. It was a hot day.
Tuesday May 29 the day before departure. We went to Jerusalem for a last visit and enjoyed it very much. By returning poor conditions on 6 and HF bands. Still we did work 8T1M in India. We hope for good condx in the evening. Pictures please click
Wednesdaymorning May 30th we where active again, just before departure to the Netherlands. Condx where poor again and about 11.00 hrs we removed the antenna's.
In the evening just before landing at Schiphol Amsterdam Auiport we did see this beautifull LH the "Paard van Marken" true the window of the plane.
It was an nice holiday for radioamateurs. But conditions where during this period no good. After arrivel we heard that several Israeli Hams did work Western Europe on 6 meters.
